Research Specialist
Carallel’s Care Advocates develop personalized plans that help caregivers navigate challenges, access resources, and manage the emotional and practical demands of caregiving. The Research Specialist role will assist Care Advocates by conducting targeted research and providing insights that enhance caregiver outcomes. They will research, vet, and contact community programs, housing options, providers, and other services to identify resources that meet caregivers’ unique needs and help remove barriers to caregiving.
Reports To: Services Enablement Manager
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of and complete internal research requests initiated by Care Advocates
- Ensure timely delivery of responses to the caregiver
- Use Carallel tools such as the phone system, knowledge base, content library and tools
- Support with proactive research, to expand the proprietary resource library
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate and recommend process refinements
- Completed degree in Social Work or healthcare related fields
- Time management: ability to effectively prioritize tasks and deliver on promises
- Strong communication skills: representing Carallel on calls to external vendors
- Processes adherence: prioritizing resources, accurate documentation, and using approved Carallel content
- Organization: ability to track, record and present several different research requests at the same time
- Technical skills: with tools such as Excel, Zendesk, Slack, Zoom
Preferred Skills & Abilities
- Awareness of caregiver topics, through personal or professional caregiver experience
- Customer service or contact center experience

Compensation: $20-22 per hour based on experience
Logistics: 15-20 hours per week, scheduled between hours of 9am-4pm Central time
Job Types: Part-time, W-2 employee
Job Location: Remote work; company located in the Greater Chicagoland Area
