Bilingual Care Advocate – Spanish, Mandarin, and/or Cantonese
Role Summary: Care Advocates help family caregivers do the hard work of caregiving. The highly credentialed team is available on-demand to provide compassionate, personalized caregiver support. Reachable by phone, email, or chat, they know how to listen first, problem-solve, coach, and implement caregiver support plans and solutions.
As a Care Advocate, you would become a trusted support and expert guide for family caregivers in a wide range of situations. You would help them navigate their unique caregiving journeys in ways that are sensitive to their life context, individual experience, and cultural needs.
Responsibilities:
- Guide, educate, and provide emotional support to family caregivers across various topics such as senior living, in-home care, health, financial and legal while encouraging caregiver self-care.
- Build a trusted relationship with caregivers via phone, email, and live chat.
- Provide help with caregiving tasks, such as coordinating in-home care, reviewing senior living options, and sourcing support groups, as needed.
- Problem-solve with clients on their caregiving challenges and needs.
- Guide clients through our proprietary online platform.
Requirements:
- Bilingual – Spanish, Mandarin, and/or Cantonese preferred
- Bachelor’s degree, with at least five (5) years of experience focused on family caregivers.
- Excellent listener with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google and able to work accurately and efficiently in a web-based platform.
- Simplifier, able to reduce complexity and ensure rapid decision-making.
- Problem-solver, able to address stressful circumstances of family caregivers.
- Experience working independently on a remote basis and as a part of a team.
- Background investigation and drug screening are required, as allowed by law.
Preferred:
- Personal family caregiving experience.
- Have credentials and experience in any of the following areas: social work, care management, senior living sales or administration, eldercare counseling, or other related work
- Interest in learning about caregiving topics outside of the primary area of expertise.
- Experience working directly with family caregivers is especially valued.
- Experience working within a Medicaid population, a community health or federally qualified health center setting or a community based organization is especially valued.

Compensation: $28 – $30 per hour based on experience
