A Caregiver Conversation by Carallel: The Importance of Celebrating Our Caregiving Accomplishments

Caring for a loved one is often a long and taxing road and it can be easy to lose sight of what we’re accomplishing. So In this Caregiver Conversation by Carallel, our Director of Caregiver Engagement, Matt Perrin, is joined by Carallel’s Care Advocate team to discuss:

  • How caregiving success comes in all shapes and sizes
  • The importance of celebrating our caregiving wins
  • Examples of our recent wins (to cheer each other on!)

Because it’s important to remember that there’s no perfect caregiver and that we’re all just doing the best we can.

Jennifer Piscitello, CDP Director, Care Advocate Team

Jennifer focuses on providing caregivers with the tools, education, and guidance they need to navigate the caregiver journey. This includes providing support for Carallel’s digital platform. Jennifer earned BA from Iowa State University and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, yoga, tennis, biking, and scrapbooking.

Candice Holloway Care Advocate

Candice is a Masters level Gerontologist, with over ten years’ experience in the field of Gerontology. Specifically specializing in Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia and how it affects the caregiver. She brings that expertise and a huge heart to her work supporting, guiding, and assisting family caregivers each day as a Care Advocate.

Matt Perrin Director of Caregiver Engagement, Carallel

Matt spent 8+ years as a family caregiver for his mother who was living with Alzheimer’s Disease. At Carallel, Matt drives the digital content development and distribution strategy. His focus is on supporting caregivers by providing the practical, relatable, and informative perspective people need — wherever they may be in their journey of caring for a loved one.

Meghan Cashman Care Advocate

Meghan’s a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Care Advocate at Carallel. She brings years of personal and professional caregiving experience and an endless bucket of empathy to her work of supporting, guiding, and assisting caregivers every day.

Sheila Schultz Care Advocate

I am a lifelong learner with a unique combination of peoplSheila is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Care Advocate at Carallel. She supports family caregivers as they navigate the healthcare ecosystem. I enjoy empowering people to be their best. She’s passionate about advocating for mental well-being.
