Carallel Carries Growing Momentum into Second Half of 2024
New customers, platform and specialized offerings signal strong year for caregiving support startup
CHICAGO, July 9, 2024 – Carallel, the leading provider of holistic support, guidance and assistance for family caregivers, welcomed customers in important market segments, launched a new platform and grew its first-of-its-kind caregiver support ecosystem in the first six months of the year, demonstrating exceptional momentum as organizations continue to embrace caregiver support as a strategic priority in 2024.
In the first half of 2024, Carallel:
- Gained health plan and provider customers to serve the unique needs of Medicaid LTSS and DSNP insureds with Carallel’s human-led, tech-enabled support.
- Launched a new web and mobile app, Carallel Companion, in May. The new app gives caregivers an intuitive, truly personalized digital experience and enables Carallel’s Care Advocates to scale their reach and impact.
- Rolled out a program designed specifically for caregivers of dementia patients, aligned with CMMI’s upcoming GUIDE Model launch and addressing the exponential impact of caregiver burden with this diagnosis.
- Earned the Healthcare Insurance Innovation Award from the MedTech Breakthrough Awards program in recognition of Carallel’s efforts to help health plans support caregivers among their membership.
- Added new organizations to the ever-growing, first-of-its-kind caregiver support ecosystem to improve access to caregiver benefits that address the full spectrum of caregiver needs. The company forged partnerships with myFloc for financial management support and with Jukebox Health for home modifications and safety, among others.
“We loved working with Meghan,” said Olga Dugan, Carallel user, of her Carallel Care Advocate. “Her compassion and advice gave us the comfort and understanding that we needed in order to give our mother and ourselves the best care possible.”
“Family caregivers are under increasing strain – mentally, physically and financially. That strain has a massive impact on their health and their loved ones’ health. But healthcare organizations are really limited in what they can do on their own to address this issue,” said Shara Cohen, CEO, Carallel. “Innovative organizations that want to improve cost, quality and experience of care are making caregiver engagement a strategic business imperative. We’re committed to innovating, measuring, and scaling our efforts to make caregiving easier alongside these organizations.”
